While making this movie, I Googled the term "poverty" and tada - countless pictures of starving children, nothing but skin and bone. It's strange isn't it? We live in this world where if a Tsunami strikes South East Asia, the whole world knows about it within seconds. We are all connected these days by things like the media and the internet - ignorance can no longer be an excuse!
We know poverty is real. What's really sad is the fact that people can watch a video clip much like the one I made below and say "Oh yeah, I've seen that picture before!!" We have seen these pictures one too many times that we have actually become desensitized!

I'm a bit of a badass this year, because I have done no preparation for the 40 hour famine myself, but if I get enough sponsors I will do a no tech famine like I did last year. going without food for 40 hours is no great loss to me, but doing without any electronic devices is more of a sacrifice for me.
